Holiday Cookies with Cops

Join us for a festive evening with Santa and Friends! Enjoy decorating cookies and ornaments, hot cocoa, popcorn, games, and more. Santa will be joined by a guest from The 501st Legion. It’s a Wonderful Night Street Fair
December 5 • 5 – 9 pm
E 14th and W Juana Ave., San Leandro

A family-friendly event with a holiday tree lighting at 5:30 pm in Estudillo Plaza at Estudillo Ave at E. 14th Street, and the main event at W. Juana Avenue between E. 14th St. and Washington Avenue. Click here for more info.

 

Family Fun Night: Holiday Puppet Show (Main Library)
Wednesday, December 17 • 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Enjoy a puppet show of The Nutcracker, presented by The Puppet Company. A Winter treat for all ages, featuring over 40 puppets. This program will take place in the Karp meeting room. San Leandro students in grades 3–12 are strongly encouraged to raise their voices and take the stage in the Oratorical Festival and Poetry Slam! Whether you recite a well-known speech or share an original poem or essay, this is your moment to celebrate Dr. King’s message of peace, tolerance, and social justice. Boys and Girls Club Annual Crab Feed
Saturday, January 24 • 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Pack your crab leg crackers and get ready to feast for a great cause. The evening will feature a live band from one of our local San Leandro favorites, cash bars, a live auction and raffle, and a special appearance by our adorable Club members. Every First Saturday of the Month • 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Located below the Monarch Butterfly Migration Mural in downtown San Leandro.

San Leandro Police Explorers

The Police Explorer Program is an opportunity for young adults between the ages of 14 and 19 to become exposed to the basics of law enforcement through volunteering. Explorers are taught by Police Officers and Police Department employees. It is a leadership program designed to prepare students to be active in the community, learn more about a law enforcement career, obtain valuable work experience, and take on more responsibility as a young adult.
