Citywide Garage Sale
Saturday, May 16
Time for Spring cleaning – let go of that clutter! This City-sponsored event is designed to promote the reuse and recycling of unwanted household goods. Host a garage sale at your house to make room in your closets and give usable items new life. The City will advertise participating households in the San Leandro Times. Click here for more info.
Spring Cleaning Day (Trash and Paper Shredding)
Saturday, May 16 • 8 am – 4 pm
Get ready to drop off your junk and paper shredding for free! Fill up your car with no more than two (2) yards of trash and two (2) banker boxes of paper to shred. No U-hauls, overloaded pick-up trucks or trailers. To secure your spot, you must register online in advance. The event address will be sent to you once you register. This event is only for San Leandro residents. You must bring your ID or other proof of San Leandro residency to participate in the event. Register HERE

San Leandro Police Explorers
The Police Explorer Program is an opportunity for young adults between the ages of 14 and 19 to become exposed to the basics of law enforcement through volunteering. Explorers are taught by Police Officers and Police Department employees. It is a leadership program designed to prepare students to be active in the community, learn more about a law enforcement career, obtain valuable work experience, and take on more responsibility as a young adult.
