How do I dispose of electronic waste?
Electronics need special handling. You can properly dispose of a limited amount of electronic waste through the ACI San Leandro On-Call/Bulky Item Clean-Up Program. Find out how to take electronic waste/broken electronics to Alameda County HHW drop-off facilities and other designated retailers.
MULTI-FAMILY COMPLEX CUSTOMERS:
Alameda County offers a free service for residential landlords to drop off their tenant’s hazardous waste. Residential landlords are considered businesses under Federal and State hazardous waste laws, which means they cannot participate in the Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Residential Drop-off Service. Find out more about the residential landlord drop-off program.
COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS:
Commercial Hazardous Waste Has Its Place… And it’s not inside any ACI collection bin. Businesses may be eligible to take various hazardous items to an Alameda County HHW collection facility.
